There is a moment, when the surface disappears above you, when the water folds around your body. Everything slows down, becomes lighter, simpler.
Freediving Weekend near Berlin
For some time, Vicente and I have been talking about creating a freediving event in Germany. A space where we can reconnect with the water, with ourselves, and with each other. This year, we are finally making it happen.
On the first weekend of July (4th–6th), we will meet at Gräbendorfer See, a quiet lake just 1.5 hours south of Berlin. This freediving workshop is open to everyone, those with and without experience. It is an invitation to revisit the practice, refine your skills, and immerse yourself in the experience of depth and stillness.
We will move, breathe, dive. Mornings will begin with land-based exercises, preparing the body and mind. The water sessions will be about exploration, ease and technique. And in between, there will be space to connect, to share and be by the water.

Interview
Recently, Philipp who participated in a freediving week in Montenegro in 2022 invited me to talk about my freediving approach in an interview. We spoke about freediving, about water, about fear and what happens when we allow ourselves to sink into silence. The conversation is in German, and you can listen to it here:
Until soon,
